Life
Greetings North High Polar Bears,
I spent 11 and a half years of my life working with MR/DD and truly enjoyed it for that time frame. It became an absorbing field of work that never seemed to allow me to find me. I left this field in 1989 and entered into the Carpenter's Union, very anxious to learn a trade, hoping I could offer it to those I met along the way. I have been in the Carpenter's Union for 14 years now and have realised that it has promoted many obstacles. What have I gained from all of this work experience? Well the biggest thing I've gained is that it is important to have people outside of these environments that will support you, and whom you in return support as well with their endeavors.
What do I miss about North High School? Most of all I miss the fact that I didn't establish some long lasting and enduring friendships, those kind of friendships that exceed and break through all of lifes challenges, its ups an...Expand for more
d downs and all arounds. I truly believed that the connections I had with many women there, especially on the Basketball Team would a part of my life till the day I died. That is the kind of nieveness that we all or some of us realize.
We all have our regrets for actions, words,and inactions that we performed during our time together. What some of us failed to understand consciously, subconsciously, was how remarkably it was that each one of us were in this space and place together. The sad part is that we didn't spend this precious time to get to know each and every person that surrounded us!
I miss High School, mostly playing Basketball with the other women, but also miss all the people I passed in the hallway. I wish now I would have stopped to talk to each and every person along the corridors, but I was not aware of all of life's mysteries.
